You're running an alpha version of the application against a new
version of the operating system. I would suggest that running a
stable and tested version of the code would give you stability.

I'm running K-9 version 4.804 on Android version 4.4.4 with zero
issues.

What you may want to do is submit bug reports to the developers so
they can look into the alpha version you're running and
incompatibilities with the OS and/or hardware. If you're going to
run alpha software, however, you cannot expect stability. -- Seth H

Hi Seth,

Thank you for the response. The problem is, I can't seem to install
any version other than the 409. If I try to go to the latest 8xx, it
won't install it. If I try 408 it won't install it. I can install
409 over the top of 409. I have 8 different email accounts and I
don't want to go through reinstalling all of them just to do a clean
uninstall of 409 then a reinstall of 8xx. Do I have any other
options?

How come there haven't been any new alpha releases in a LOONG time?
Even since the move to the new server it seems like the release have
just stopped.

You may be SOL. If you cannot downgrade the K-9 installation, I don't
think that exporting your settings, uninstalling K-9 alpha, installing
K-9 public release and then importing your settings will work either.
IIRC, the export/import doesn't work so well going back versions.

8 e-mail accounts is a lot. I hated having to reconfigure 2.
