After the last update I’m getting a certificate error on a mail account
that hasn't changed.
The cert handling has changed. Go into Account Settings/Sending mail/Outgoing
server and tap 'next', and accept the cert offered.
Changed? We should not have to manually go through and accept valid certs,
especially if they were working. The report by the device is that the cert is
invalid and if that's the case, it's something to be concerned with. If it's
valid and the report is invalid, the behavior of the app needs to change.
But even when I tapped through to get past the cert error, I started getting
authentication errors.
This is not how would should find out about behavior changes to the application.
