I have same issue, but SSL cert errorr is showing randomly. Even after 
deinstal, clean cache, reinstall app and add manualy (not from backup) all 
accounts. And not only for outgoing servers. I geting SSL errorr for 
incoming servers as well (pop3 and imap).

Please fix K9 and make your users happy again. Otherwise will loose them.
