It's not asking you to create a K-9 account, rather it needs the
credentials for your email account(s) so that it (K-9) can connect
to them to retrieve/send mail.

You can export/import your settings (which include your your account
details and settings) from an existing K-9 setup, but last time I
did that one still needed to have the passwords for your mail server
accounts [for security reasons, most apps won't export passwords
they hold unless they have a whole password management/master
password setup]. If you don't have your mail server passwords, you
need to use your mail service provider's password recovery options
to get/reset them.
