Do you have any third-party notification widgets, designed to tell you
about unread email messages? They might well have K-9 support. Do you have
any system automation apps, such as Tasker?

Thanks for the pointer, but I think this is a bit much just to install
an app that has been working flawlessly for me for years.

The only other email app I have is the native GMail app...
I did have this other email app called Curve Mail installed a while
back, but I uninstalled it soon after installing it (wasn't impressed)...
