Hey Guys, Been using K-9 for years. I just transitioned my email over to rackspace and encountered a problem setting up the smtp server settings. No combination of Security/Port/Authentication will work. Returned error is always- Cannot connect to Server (Authentication methods SASL PLAIN and LOGIN are unavailable.)
After a little googling, I believe the error is because rackspace doesn't explicity advertise TLS or SSL in the return from HELO or ELHO command even though they support it. http://treadpath.typepad.com/thoughtintomotion/2011/06/actionmailer-woes-integrating-with-rackspaces-email-service.html Any way we could get K-9 to just accept the user input server settings even if the smtp server doesn't return it's capabilities?
