[SOLVED] Yes, it is possilbe to clone accounts. See how.
After trial and error ...
Importing the file of exported account settings. It will not overwrite
previous account. At reimport it will ask for the outbound and inbound
server passwords.
E.g.: So, if account name is "WORK", the reimported one will be designated
"WORK (1)". They will not mix and all goes properly.
One step further ... exported file is pure text, XML structure. So, one can
edit the exported settings, changing whatever it is needed.
I believe the exported settings do not contain lines for default values, so
you might need to add some.
Syntax is not difficult and all is self explanatory, but can get lets say
sticky ....
Example for Trash: (my comments starting with *
<folder name="[Gmail]/Trash"> *
Name of the folder in the imap server
* Another example "NTC Scheduler" (not "IMAP" native folders do not need
[Gmail] in front of folder name ...
<value key="displayMode">FIRST_CLASS</value> * Folder Display Class:
* 1st class (FIRST_CLASS)
* 2nd (SECOND_CLASS ??) and
* None (NO_CLASS ??)
<value key="inTopGroup">false</value> * List at
the top of folder list or no: true / false
<value key="integrate">false</value> *
Unified view: true / false
<value key="notifyMode">INHERITED</value> * Undocumented? -
try to guess ...
* 1st / 2nd / None / Same as Push (=INHERITED)
<value key="pushMode">INHERITED</value> * Folder Push Class:
* 1st / 2nd / None / Same as Synch (=INHERITED)
<value key="syncMode">NO_CLASS</value> * Folder Synch

</folder>
Enjoy ;-)
