Hi, I recently updated my One M8 GPE to Lollipop, and started having battery drain problems when I am out of wifi coverage. After wiping the device, clearing cache, re-flashing, nothing helped. Finally, I got frustrated and rooted my phone since this is now required for Lollipop in order to obtain wakelock data. I then waited for the battery drain to resurface, and tracked it down, sadly, to K-9 Mail.
In the battery monitoring app, The #1 offender was "CoreReceiver getWakeLock" Killing the K9 window in the task manager was enough to stop the battery drain. I need to stress that it's not K-9 Mail which is using a ton of CPU. It's doing something (or not doing something) which prevents the device from sleeping. -M -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the K-9 Mail Users List.
