Hi FYI, today Google has released the ARC Welder app for chrome. it's a simple way to import any android apk and then create a chrome app. It even creates a zip file which you can upload to the chrome store.
https://developer.chrome.com/apps/getstarted_arc I tried it with K-9 (v5.004) and it works pretty well. I can now run k-9 mail on a chromebook - YAY! There are some navigation issues as they don't translate from touch screen to mouse perfectly. also there are only 3 sizes for the app - phone, tablet, and full screen. it would be nice if you could resize the app once launched. But for a first pass I'm a happy camper! Maybe this is something the k-9 team would consider for an official build. In the meantime I'll be happy with my local version.
