I have never had a problem with opening attachments in my K-9 mail,
nor have I seen this as a general issue this list. There have been
some specific attachment issues, but I think all traced to specific
sources (e.g., ms winmail.dat files).

Do you fully download the message before trying to save/open the
attachments?
