on my Gigaset ME smartphone with Android 5.1.1, I have installed the actual version of K9-Mail. If I start the app and start the search for new mail, I will be notified about new mail. That will go on for hours (?), but then I will not get more notifications about new mail although I have received new mail. I also described the problem to the manufacturer. He told me to contact the app-developer, because the system apps are working. I do have a similar problem with AlarmDroid-App and the app blablacar will send no notification.
