I think there is a bug (or maybe a feature) in the code. Once k9 losses sync it never turns it back on. So I was killing the app and restarting every day, not very practical.
The app can be coded so that android does not doze it. I did manage to stop mine from dozing, but it took a few days to find the right combination of setup and rabbit sacrificing to enchant the thing to do what I wanted.
