Hello, I'm trying to getting K-9 Mail working with Hotmail on my Android (5.1) Phone but I'm not sure whether this is at all possible? I'm able see new mail in my inbox when available (by pulling down to refresh). But when I send an email, I get 2 different errors:
"Failed to send some messages. SSLProtocolException SSL handshake aborted: s.." And "Certificate error for <[email protected]> Check your server settings" My Outgoing server settings are: SMTP server: smtp.mail.outlook.com Security: SSL/TLS Port: 587 Require sign-in (checked) Authentication: Normal password I have tinkered about a bit with the instructions from microsoft, but without much success: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/outlook/send-receive-from-app I noticed there was someone asking earlier this year, although I think lack of patience/politeness may have prevented a proper resolution at that time: https://qnalist.com/questions/6301711/k-9-mail-setting-up-k-9-and-a-hotmail-account Any pointers on this would be gratefully appreciated, many thanks in advance Chris Ang PS. Yes, while I can use the built in Android App for reading/writing emails, I'd much much rather swap to use K-9 permanently..! -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the K-9 Mail Users List.
