Sean - Thanks for the reply. I noticed this change after upgrading from a Nexus 6 (which was kept up to date) to a Pixel 2 XL (Pixel). I do not know what version I was running as I had to send that device back to Verizon for a return credit. However, I received the Pixel on 10/31/2017. I have tried a whole bunch of settings options but they do not help. I have a number of email accounts, so the unified mailbox is great for me.
Problem Description: once I view a message in the unified mailbox, it is removed from the unified mailbox. (Perhaps some users would like this. So maybe it need to be an optional setting.) It used to be highlighted in grey which is what I would like - all emails read (highlighted) and unread (not highlighted) in one place. The deleted message is still available in the inbox of the relevant email account inbox, just not the unified or all messages box. The K-9 version on the Pixel is currently 5.208, and the Android version is 8.0.0. Love the app. Have been using it for years. Any help you can provide would be appreciated by me and perhaps other users. K-9 Mail is an open-source app written and maintained by unpaid volunteers. The best way to get a problem fixed is to submit patches. Barring that, providing precise details (including Android version, K-9 app version, steps to reproduce, etc.) is critical. Showing that you've made some attempt to track down the actual problem is helpful, so try testing different versions and report exactly which version started exhibiting the problem. And finally, be polite. ALL CAPS SHOUTING, sarcasm quotes berating the software, and complaining about lack of responses are all great ways to get yourself ignored. I do realize that you are frustrated by this issue. Remember that you always have the ability to roll back to previous versions of K-9, which can be used as a temporary workaround. --Sean -- You received this message because you are subscribed to a topic in the Google Groups "K-9 Mail" group.
