On my five different IMAP accounts (two in Google's ecosystem, two private Courier-IMAP servers, and one vivaldi.net), leaving folders at their default settings, I don't experience any odd folder behaviors. Any odd behaviors I would look to the provider or the user having done something non-standard, not K9. -- Andy
