Great! Thanks for your help! While I understand your viewpoint on signing without encryption and encrypting without signing. I fully agree on the latter by the way; I do not see any usecase in encrypting without signing.
The other way around on the other hand I do understand. I can use signed mails by only using MY pgp key and am not dependant on the other side having one. I find this especially useful in cases where I want to (or need to) prove that my mails are tampered with and now have content that I did not put in. It sounds a bit farefatched, I know. But I have been in legal battles for years now and to me it is important that to a few recipients I can prove that they have tampered with my mails.
