I know you are a busy man,I do see the blue "halo" in the circle of the
remote computer and when I click connect in the property panel I get a window in
the upper left of my screen that says "connecting" to the address I am connected
with and after 5 seconds or so the window disappears.I assume it "hides"
automatically since I did not choose that option when it was open.
Nothing changes on my screen in the Kaboodle box,it looks the same as
before I tried to take remote control,nothing else opens,I do not see the remote
desktop,not even any activity like it was trying to open.I am trying all these
moves on two different computers,my desktop and my laptop so I am thinking that
maybe I need to bypass my router to eliminate any NAT and firewall obstacles and
try it from there.I put my computer in the DMZ zone but that does not seem to
make any difference,I can connect either way but I do know that putting my
computer in the DMZ zone does not eliminate the firewall protection that is
built in to the router at least not according to "ShieldUP"which I have been
using to troubleshoot with.
It may be days before I can try this again with my own resources here and I
really need to bypass my router the next time my remote pc is online and see
what difference that makes.Thanks again for your assistance.Ron Gordon
