Mike, Dave:

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, there is a problem with Kaboodle and
WinPcap that causes instability on some systems, especially with 1394
ports. It's not yet resolved. The easiest fix is to deinstall WinPcap globally, and move it instead to the installation folder of the other applications which require it. Alternatively, if you disable your 1394 devices as a networking
interface, that should also work.

More news as I have it.

thanks,
Scott

Mike,

Just my 2c worth.

Check that you're not running winpcap. AFAIK there is still a problem with winpcap (which I use on my XP Pro to do sniffing etc) and Kaboodle.

I'm waiting for Scott to advise that this conflict is resolved so I can run Kaboodle again.

Cheers

Dave

Subject: [Kaboodle-user] Help with Kaboodle

Help,

Kaboodle crashes on one of my machines, immediately after, or during the final stages of scanning network. This machine runs XP Pro, and a lot of other software. It has a 1394 port as well as USB, etc. Are there any known
conflicts?

Mike
