OK. I am having the same problem on YellowDog. I tried the ulimit -s
8000, but that did not work (like it did on SuSE). This was working
with a previous version of HEAD a few hours ago.

Hi,
Maybe you can try the latest CVS HEAD. I have cleaned up a memory
protection. It seems that fedora is paranoid by default and protect
everything.
Cheers,
Guilhem.
I tried the latest, same results. I have configured with INTRP, JIT
and JIT3, they all failed the same way.
Is there some way to track down what is happening? If not, I may
just go back to my RedHat 9 installation.
I have noticed that on Suse 9 the stack max size is set to unlimited.
This causes trouble in the internal stack boundaries of kaffe and may
cause lockups. I suggest you to set (with ulimit) the stack
boundaries to 8 MB and retry to build kaffe. I'm working on a cleaner
solution.
That work! I am back in business!
Cheers,
Guilhem.
Thanks!
Michael
