Ooops. Seems I messed up with wrong wording.. I was going to ask about protocols, but some how my mail ended up with types :(...
What I wanted to ask is the case where some participants registered for CC while others are registered for the PC .. Hannes has already answered it by telling to handle two kinds of participants separately... In this case if we assume a atomic outcome, it seems like the volatile & durable participants in ws-at to me... thanx all, ~Thilina On 12/27/06, Sanjaya Amarasekera <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Hi, The AtomicOutcome is the decesion that Coordinator makes. If all the participants are not Completed(Close) the outcome will be negative (i.e Compansate). This is more or less similar Atomic Tranaction. i.e either all the participants will complete(Close) or compansateThis is not specificaly mentioned in the Specification. The MixedOutcome stands for the scenario where each participant will/may receive diferent type outcomes. i.e some of them will Complete(Close) while others are Compansating. Again, DO NOT mix up coordination Types and Protocols. participants register for either ParticipantCompletion or CoordinatorCompletion Protocols. NOT for AtomicOutcome or MixedOutcome Type. The Type of the Buisiness Activity will be decided by the Initiator. So the participant will just join/register for a business activity (the type of which is already defined by the initiator) The activity could be either AtomicOutcome or MixedOutcome type. In that case if there are some participants registered for MixedOutcome while others are registered for the Atomic how the final resolution needs to be achieved is not clear to me... Is it expected to treat Atomic once and Mixed once separately.. thanks in advance, ~Thilina On 12/27/06, Sanjaya Amarasekera wrote: > If your question is whether the participants can join a busniness activity > of any coordination type (ie.
