It turns out that I had CML2 support working last week, every problem I
hit has been traced to a CML2 bug, not kbuild 2.5.  I am ready to send
kbuild 2.5 to Linus, initially without CML2 support.  Eric, it is
trivial to activate the CML2 support in kbuild once the CML2 bug list
is empty.
