SUMMARY
kdialog is unresponsive / frozen when the folder picker dialog is opened by
certain apps (including but not limited to vscode and obsidian notes)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open a new workspace folder in vscode, or open a vault from a location in
obsidian
2. folder picker appears but is unresponsive
3. after a while the "window unresponsive dialog appears"
4. the close program button has to be pressed 3-4 times before the dialog is
removed from the screen.
OBSERVED RESULT
kdialog appears but is unresponsive
EXPECTED RESULT
kdialog appears and is responsive

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I've been encountering this issue for many months, at least since plasma 6
first released but potentially longer so this isn't a new issue
