I was going to open the issue on distro's bugtracker, but it seems it was already done (https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/thunderbird/-/issues/4) and that a MR was already opened, but not yet reviewed (https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/thunderbird/-/merge_requests/2/diffs). I don't understand enough of the issue or article, but the approach seems different, dunno if it's a better one or not though.
