Since the scanner worked fine with Skanlite/Skanpage until recently, then I just need to downgrade epsonscan2. Obviously it's no longer available on Epson website... Which leads me to think that this could well be deliberately induced software obsolescence. Fortunately for me I regularly back up my data on 2 HDDs with Rsync and Borg. So I take out the HDD, open Vorta, mount an archive from July 2024, in which I find an old version of the driver. I installed it, ran Skanlite and Skanpage and it worked again. Phew!
