Bug ID: 507581
Summary: Most recent sorted task breaks when clicking the
desktop
Classification: Plasma
Product: kwin
Version First 6.3.5
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: tabbox
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
When using the "Recently used" Sort order for the Task Switcher (Alt+Tab),
clicking on the desktop (making the current active window un-selected) makes
the last used window something different to what you had selected before
clicking on the desktop.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open several windows
2. Select a window, making it the active window
3. Select another window, making it the new active window
4. Select the desktop, un-selecting the window from Step 3
5. Alt+Tab to switch to the last window
6. A different window that isn't the one in Step 3 is opened
OBSERVED RESULT
The actual last window used is not opened.
EXPECTED RESULT
The window you had selected prior to clicking the desktop should remain at the
top of the last used window stack.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0
Qt Version: 6.9.0
Kernel Version: 6.14.9-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The second-last window (Alt+Tab+Tab) and beyond, seem to be correct. The
behaviour seems to be that when you click on the desktop, it adds a new entry
to the top of the last-used stack for some other window that you have open
(perhaps the first one that was opened after system boot?)
