Would porting KLocale be a ridiculous amount of work?

Lofty as it is to try to provide the same functionality in "pure Qt"
applications that's not entirely what the KFi frameworks are about, isn't it?

I haven't really thought over your potential request to make to the Qt guys, so
I'll pretend for a second it's not something similar to the mechanism that
allows "injecting" a different file open/save dialog. And if indeed not, that
might be a change they would be more willing to consider, if not only because
it would probably make it easier for other DEs too to provide a
"time/date/formats/etc" harmonisation.
