SUMMARY

I found some links that I think should be changed, related to how to start
contributing effectively.
Sorry about the slightly non-linear (pun intended) expose, it might not be all
wrong. ;-)

On https://kdenlive.org/bug-reports/

In the "Search the forums" section I think the official forum is less visible,
since the list takes attention.

In addition, the r/kdenlive links to moderators rather than
https://www.reddit.com/r/kdenlive/ and the https://discord.gg/3MnCegaQ didn't
work, is the invite stale or discord abandoned?

Actually, for me, I'm happy to concentrate discussion to one forum rather than
spreading out on several. I'll assume the "official forum" is the most useful,
but providing proper links to the others may still be of value.

https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Development#Developer_Mailing_List
On this page the Developer's mailing list no longer exist, relink or remove?
But it's the only place I've seen the link to the Matrix room, so that might be
better spread.
https://webchat.kde.org/#/room/#kdenlive-dev:kde.org

On https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenlive

"Look for issues tagged with "good first issue" or "help wanted"

The former now seems to be called "Welcome tasks"?
https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenlive/-/issues/?sort=created_date&state=opened&label_name%5B%5D=Welcome%20tasks&first_page_size=20

BTW, on https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Workgroup/Triaging it says
"low_hanging", but that might be true in "bugs" still.

"Check the KDE Bug Tracker for reported issues"

The link should rather filter for kdenlive directly:
https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?product=kdenlive&resolution=---
or is the idea to teach adding the product filter consistently? This might be a
helpful template.
https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=%20product%3Akdenlive%20%22Some%20suggestions%22
Or point at this hints for searching:
https://bugs.kde.org/page.cgi?id=quicksearch.html#fields

Then, there's "invent issues" as well:
https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenlive/-/issues?sort=created_date&state='opened&first_page_size=20

I've learned that the "invent issues" are triaged, but they are seemingly not
just a different views of the "bugs". I have yet to find any issue in both
systems, so to check already reported issues, do you need to check both lists?

https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenlive/-/blob/master/dev-docs/contributing.md
Apparently the “bugs” is the place to register new issues, so contributors
should create an account there, apart from one on the forum.
If there's "one account" to rule them all, if so it would be nice to guide the
user in creating accounts in the right order.

OBSERVED RESULT

Incorrect links.

EXPECTED RESULT

A smoother onboarding experience.
