I had not noticed this behavior on previous boot, and to my knowledge I had not
updated the system from that state. However the next day I booted, logged in
(no issue) and plasmashell started crashing, restartring, and crashing again.
This repeated for a couple of cycles until it stopped trying to restart, I
tried to manually invoke plasmashell to see if it would maybe fix after a while
but no, and sometimes it would stay alive long enough (maybe with a few
hiccups) before eventually again crashing and restarting. I then when into the
.cache folder, deleted kwin and plasmshell folders, and rebooted. On next boot
I had a few more "repeated" crashes on log in (one of these is the bug report),
and then it stopped having issues.
The crash can be reproduced sometimes.
