Bug 510404 is specifically "if you type a shortcut on a Wayland app, but release the modifier before the character, the character keeps repeating to XWayland and randomly gets leaked when activating a X11 app". To test, I created a clean Fedora 43 VM, installed Opera Beta from the (incredibly shady) official website hosting a RPM, then tried Alt-Tabbing between System Settings and Opera. Every other time I reactivated Opera the menu opened. If I close the menu (by pressing and releasing Alt, or by clicking on Opera), every time I alt-tab twice, the menu opens when Opera is refocused. The specific reason I think this is not the same bug as 510404 is because the behavior is identical if I release Alt or Tab first. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
