I'm on Plasma 6.3.4 and i stopped using Plasma System Monitor, exactly for it's high CPU usage. I was using top in terminal all the time to not spin laptop fans, then i build own system monitor app that's NW.JS recently in few days, and it still uses less then Plasma System Monitor, and I ain't not much of a developer in first place. So now I was like, let's research why does it use so much cpu and see can i fix it, that's how i got here, reading this report, learning that it even used more cpu and that guy analyzed it well.
