--- Comment #83 from Menak Vishap <[email protected]> --- Unfortunately, it seems that the situation is not changed for x11 session in Plasma 6.5.3 as compared with Plasma 6.5.0, the all changes done affected only Wayland session. :( So, I decided to try describing the situation as precise as possible. I include the screenshots of Plasma 6.5.3 and Plasma 6.4.5 (the last normal one), taken with the wallpaper and with white area as the background, with the "background contrast" swithed on and off respectively (four screenshots for each version). The desktop theme is the "ThinAir2". Note, that in both Plasma 6.4.5 and Plasma 6.5.3 switching the "background contrast" option off causes sqare-shaped corners of menus and widgets instead of rounded ones (marked with red arrows) - the situation persisting for many years since Plasma 4.*, and it is the main reason why I never switched "background contrast" off. In Plasma 6.4.5(x11) the blur looks nice both with "background contrast" swithed on and off, whereas in Plasma 6.5.3(x11) it looks ugly and horrible with both these options. Note, that in Plasma 6.5.3 blurred menus (and widgets) placed over white area look grey (with both "background contrast" values), whereas in Plasma 6.4.5 they look perfect. Screenshots of Plasma 6.4.5 are taken on openSUSE Leap 15.6 with KDE Frameworks 6.18.0 and Qt 6.9.2, screenshots of Plasma 6.5.3 are taken on openSUSE Leap 15.6 with KDE Frameworks 6.20.0 and Qt 6.10.0. The kernel is 6.4.0. I very hope that this information will help you to fix the look of next Plasma versions in x11 session. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
