You have tested with stand alone QtAv player which is outdated a lot, and we
don't use it since a while in digiKam, as it's not maintained.

In Qt6 version, we use QtMultimedia. This is the standard now since 2 years.
In the legacy Qt5 version, QtAv have been replaced by the QtAvPlayer. Name are
near, but the implementations are different:

QtAv (outdated : last stable 2017) : https://github.com/wang-bin/QtAV
QtAvPlayer (maintained) : https://github.com/valbok/QtAVPlayer

So your check with QtAv is not valid, even if test sounds good.

I think your problem is relevant of the codec used by the framework to render.
the video. Under Windows we can use a native one (3rdpaty or Windows core, this
depend of the format), or ffmpeg. Performace with the first one must be better
and optimum but requires an extra download and install on the system. ffmpeg is
a failback always included in digiKam but it can be not optimum about
performances.
