I also think that most people want to start working with the drive immediately after connecting it. Therefore, it's also too long for me if I have to wait four minutes (as in my case) for the check to complete, after receiving a warning about insufficient permissions, and then finally having the drive mounted. That's what I consider "too long." You can continue discussing what constitutes "too long," but I've found my solution by manually mounting the drive in the Dolphin device settings.
