Problem:
Audio effects Compressor/Eypander (avfilter.compand), Crossfeed, Crystalizer,
Deesser, Haas Stereo Enhancer, Limiter, Pan, Simple Compressor/Expander
(avfilter.acontrast), Stereo tools, Stereo widener, cause extreme
distortion/clipping in timeline playback AND rendered output. Same clip sounds
perfect in Clip Monitor.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
New project (default settings)
Import any WAV file, place on single audio track (no video, no other
tracks/effects)
Apply one of listed effects (e.g. Limiter, Stereo Tools)
Timeline playback: heavily distorted/clipped
Render to any format (e.g. MP4, WAV): distorted identically
Clip Monitor playback: clean audio

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
System: Manjaro XFCE (current), Kdenlive 25.12.0 (and previous version), MLT
7.34.1, only SDL audio backend available.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
IMPORTANT: Official Kdenlive AppImage (same version) with identical
project/clip/effect: perfect playback and render. No config changes, clean user
profile tested.
Likely packaging issue in Manjaro's MLT/Kdenlive build affecting audio effect
processing.
