Add menu only supports adding files
SUMMARY
Currently, the "Add" menu only supports selecting files and adding a folder
flattens the entire directory tree into a single list of videos, destroying the
organization.
CURRENT BEHAVIOR
- The "Add" menu is restricted to file selection only.
- Dragging and dropping a folder works, but it flattens all subfolder contents
into a single list.
I request that Haruna handle folders exactly like a file manager.
DESIRED BEHAVIOR
1. "Add Folder" Menu Option: A native menu entry under the "Add" button that
allows selecting a directory via the file picker.
2. Load Immediate Contents: When a folder is added, load its direct contents
into the playlist.
- If the folder contains 2 subfolders and 3 videos, the playlist should show
5 items (2 subfolder + 3 videos items).
- It should NOT recursively dump all videos from those subfolders into the
main list.
- Users should be able to click/open a subfolder item to view its specific
contents, preserving the hierarchy.
USE CASE
Users with organized video libraries (e.g., "TV Show > Season 1", "TV Show >
Season 2") currently cannot add the entire "TV Show" folder in one action. This
feature would align Haruna with the standard behavior of other major media
players.
