This may be considered a bug but I let JBM decide that. Yes, you are right, this was a mistake on my part. Apparently I set a systemwide shortcut for F11 to fullscreen all applications (including Kdenlive), and that seems to have overrided the Kdenlive shortcut, which is why I had a custom one.
