SUMMARY
When fetching new email from a pop3 account (e. g) and delivering it to a local
maildir via postfix (say to /var/spool/mail/<USERNAME> kmail does not
automatically refresh the folder where the new email is expected to show up.
Instead one has to change from this folder to an arbitrary different folder and
then switch back to the initial folder to urge the emails to show. This should
not be required.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. fetch new email (known new ....) from any email server say via fetchmail /
postfix to a local maildir.
2. check in the inbox - nothing to see though you *know* there is new mail.
3. change from the inbox to any other directory and back - the new mail is
listed

OBSERVED RESULT
new mail does not show when it arrives
