            Bug ID: 516402
Summary: [Wayland][amdgpu] Display refresh rate stuck at 60Hz
on Kernel 6.18, works fine on 6.12 LTS
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: CachyOS
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: wayland-generic
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

After updating the kernel from 6.12.74-1-lts to 6.18, the option to change the
display refresh rate disappeared from the System Settings. The refresh rate is
now locked at 60Hz, whereas on the LTS kernel, I can successfully switch
between available modes (e.g., 60Hz/120Hz depending on the panel).

Steps to reproduce:

Boot into CachyOS with Kernel 6.18.

Open System Settings -> Display and Monitor -> Display Configuration.

Check the "Refresh rate" dropdown menu.

Observed Result:
Only 60Hz is available, or the selection is missing/locked.

Expected Result:
All supported refresh rates for the IdeaPad Pro 5 16APH8 panel should be
visible and selectable (as they are on Kernel 6.12).

System Information:

OS: CachyOS Linux

KDE Plasma: 6.6.0

KDE Frameworks: 6.23.0

Qt Version: 6.10.2

Kernel: 6.18 (Problematic) / 6.12.74-1-lts (Working)

Graphics Platform: Wayland

GPU: AMD Radeon 780M (Ryzen 7 7840HS)

Device: Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 16APH8 (83AR)
