And what to take and what to leave?

The two effects are coming from different libraries that may change their
respective effect sometime in the future. Which one to keep, which one to leave
now? Our best option is to keep both and leave it to the user which one to use.
The description of the effect in the effect panel says which library they come
from, btw.

AFAICS, the OP was about invert and invert0r having slightly different results.
This was fixed in one of the 24 releases. Therefore, I think this bug can be
closed as RESOLVED - FIXED.

If the fact that two effects do the exact same thing needs a bug report, it can
of course be created as a new one.
