In a sense this behavior is already there just not very obvious. If I recall
correctly, without any device priorities set, a removable interface should have
higher priority over, say, PCI. The logic might get confused by some computers
such as mine using USB for the onboard audio, though.

Where the UX kinda falls of the cliff, though, is that setting a default device
such as in plasma-pa will override the switching logic and it will new choose
that device whenever it's plugged in. Arguably this is a different state of
manager's behavior, so it might make sense to somehow indicate this and allow
resetting this behavior. I believe there should be WirePlumber (or maybe
PipeWire) issue exactly about this but I don't have a link off the cuff.
