You'll probably need to install valgrind before you can use it > to run Dolphin. This might not be specifically Dolphin, but maybe KDialog or something at a lower level causing this since updating KDE. I attached a .zip with two logs. One of them is if Dolphin or KDialog hasn't been used for at least 30 seconds. This is the one that suffers the bad delay. The log is 138 KB. The other one is when Dolphin or KDialog was used recently, so there's no delay. The log is 47 KB. I want to repeat some things: This doesn't only affect Dolphin. It also happens with any application that uses KDialog as a file picker. This doesn't only happen at "launch". It also happens if Dolphin is minimized and I leave it alone for over 20-30 seconds, then restore the window. The window will appear to be frozen for almost 5 seconds. It's an empty border where you can see the desktop wallpaper. After the delay is over, Dolphin behaves normally and doesn't have any performance issues. This happens in X11 and Wayland. No difference. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
