STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to https://github.com/KDE/kwin in a Chromium browser.
2. Do the same in Firefox.
3. Compare the two.
OBSERVED RESULT
The background in the Chromium browser appears brighter than in Firefox.
EXPECTED RESULT
The background should be near identical between the two.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
OS: Bazzite (desktop version)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
GPU Driver: NVIDIA 595.45.04
Display: ViewSonic VA2432-MHD (not HDR capable)
The bug happens with other websites, with other Chromium based browsers and
with some Electron apps, regardless of the display settings.
There are two workarounds for this:
1. --disable-features=WaylandWpColorManagerV1
2. --ozone-platform=x11
Both results in normal blacks.
GNOME, which also implements wp_color_manager_v1 don't have this issue.
