I have forked and directly imported the library(files, copyright data, etc) and
fixed the issues-
just committed it to my gitlab fork as well

it is my first time creating a MR, im not sure if i may be doing anything
wrong, so should i create a merge request from my fork directly and add this
bug report/ bug id in the description?
