--- Comment #35 from Craig <[email protected]> --- Created attachment 190788 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=190788&action=edit New crash information added by DrKonqi gwenview (23.08.5) using Qt 5.15.13 Crash began to happen after Kubuntu update on 18 Mar 2026. The update appears to have changed exiv library processing of MetaData. This resulted in segmentation violations on apparent zero valued parameter passed as address. Many image viewer applications are affected in similar manner. However ImageMagic and Firefox do not seem to be affected. -- Backtrace (Reduced): #4 0x000075536cd08438 in Exiv2::Image::setMetadata(Exiv2::Image const&) () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexiv2.so.27 #5 0x000075536dc9acc4 in Gwenview::JpegContent::loadFromData(QByteArray const&, Exiv2::Image*) () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgwenviewlib.so.5 [...] #10 0x000075536ae9caa4 in start_thread (arg=<optimized out>) at ./nptl/pthread_create.c:447 #11 0x000075536af29c6c in clone3 () at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/x86_64/clone3.S:78 [...] #4 0x0000755369b5bc82 in xcb_take_socket () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libxcb.so.1 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
