gwenview (23.08.5) using Qt 5.15.13

Whenever I open an image gwenview opens in the task manager and then closes
imediately and gives me the crash notification, but only when I open Jpegs,
opening pngs still crashes but there's no notification. When I open gwenview
directly and try to open a folder, the app closes and doesn't return a crash
notification .

The images can be accessed by apps like KolourPaint and can be used as desktop
backgrounds or app manager icons, but gwenview, as well as okular and showfoto,
do not open.

The problem seemingly apeared after installing the following updates:
