SUMMARY
When changing the primary device to external display, the brightness of my
laptop screen is dimmed even though I set the brightness to 100%. Even after
removing the external screen the brightness on the laptop is still dimmed. The
brightness of the login screen is fine, but it is dimmed after login. Only when
setting the laptop screen back to primary is the brightness restored.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Could not reproduce
1. I was running Lutris, which was displaying on my laptop screen
2. in Display Configuration I set external as "Primary"
OBSERVED RESULT
Immediately when i switched my primary screen, my laptop display was dimmed.
Restarting several times, setting screen to 100% and removing external screen
did not restore brightness.
EXPECTED RESULT
When switching primary display the old display should not be dimmed.

I am wondering if Lutris is the cause, because it does not play well when
