The problem is that the dialogs that handle the setup are showing up on the wrong window. And since the settings window is modal, you can't even click or type anything. BTW, if you first open the settings through the button on the bottom left, and then navigate to the synchronization settings, it does work properly. It's only broken when opened from the button on the placeholdermessage. The strange thing is that I'd solved this already some time ago. Either I forgot to test this particular button, or something has changed in the libraaries. Anyway, you can go to settings manually as a temporary workaround.
