I did a clean install of KDE Linux a week or two ago. Since then, none of my
notifications played their assigned sounds.
The cause was notification sounds being muted by default in System Settings >
Sound. Changing it to 100% volume resolved the issue.
This seems like a weird default. Or maybe it's unintentional and some
distro-specific misconfiguration?
