Summary
--------
Plasma Wayland session appears frozen shortly after login, but recovers after
display power cycle (DPMS off/on). Screen initially stuck on last rendered
frame, system remains partially responsive via TTY.

System Information
------------------
Laptop: ThinkPad T14 Gen 5
Operating System: Void
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.24.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
Kernel Version: 6.12.80 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 x AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8840U w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
Memory: 61.5 GiB of usable RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics
Mesa Version: 25.3.3

Description of the Problem
--------------------------
On logging into a Plasma Wayland session, the display appears to freeze shortly
after login. The screen becomes stuck on the last rendered frame (typically the
wallpaper or partially rendered applications such as Discord showing a blank
window).

The freeze is not strictly instantaneous — brief UI updates occur (the volume
OSD often appears, and some applications may begin launching), but the session
quickly becomes visually unresponsive.

However, the system does not fully crash. I can blindly switch to a TTY and
execute commands (e.g. reboot).

Recovery Behavior
------------------
If the system is left idle until the display turns off via power management
(DPMS, not suspend), the session recovers after waking:

- Lock screen appears normally after wake
- Previously frozen UI becomes fully responsive
- Volume OSD disappears and UI state updates correctly
- Applications (e.g. Discord) complete rendering/loading and behave normally
- Mouse movement is visible and responsive again

Additional Context
------------------
No obvious error messages observed in logs.

Before this became consistently reproducible, I experienced such freezes in
Wayland sessions intermittently (e.g. during Firefox tab switching). I would
reboot to recover.

The issue has since progressed to occurring on every login attempt.

Steps to Reproduce
------------------
1. Boot system
2. Log into Plasma (Wayland) session
3. Observe freeze shortly after login
4. (Optional) Wait for display to turn off via DPMS and wake system
5. Observe recovery of full session functionality if waited for display to turn
off

Expected Behavior
-----------------
Plasma Wayland session should remain responsive after login without requiring
display power cycling.

Actual Behavior
---------------
Session becomes visually frozen shortly after login, with no UI updates.
However, the session recovers fully after DPMS off/on cycle.
