It seems to me that it corresponds to META II, TREE-META and BNF (rfc5511) with some extra characters—because why not (since everyone tends to create their own variations of the language :/). But the name refers to EBNF/ABNF/WBNF, which have a very different meaning for `;`, `?`, and `%`—which isn’t a comment—so I’m wondering.
